America's Next Top Model is realiaty TV show started by Tyra Banks and hosted by herself, it was started on may 20th 2003 often shortened to Top Model also known as ANTM. In the show a number of girls compete for the title America’s next model, which will give them a chance to start their career in the modelling industry .Tyra Banks is the lead judge in the show, and also became one of the most leading shows in the year 2004.Each season of the show has 9-13 episodes with 10-14 contestants and 1 is eliminated in each and every episodes/rounds and in some cases a double elimination or a no elimination happens in rare cases which the panel of judges decides. With five or six contestants remaining an international trip is taken with this contestants.
The show usually begins with the contestants receiving training, and the next stage include walking in the runway and photograph session , maybe nude, semi-nude,or with male models or animals and posing follows. A rule has been made behind the show which states, the contastants must not attend any modelling or any type of commercial, in which if they are found are eliminated.
Tyra Banks, born on the 4th of December 1973 at Inglewood, California under computer consultant, Donald Banks and a business manager and medical photographer Carolyn(ne’e London) is a talk show host, television personality and formal Supermodel. Her mom and dad divorced when she was 6.She attended high school in Los Angeles, California and moved to Paris to pursue her modeling career at the age of 15. On her first week in Paris, designers were so entraced by her presence on the runway that she was booked for 25 shows – a record in the making, and Banks became the first African American – to be on the cover of GQ and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is her first appearance in her television career and made many appreances throughout the series and her other well know presence is on the sets of Coyote Ugly and The price is right. Now, Banks is the television hostess and executive producer of television show America’s Next Top Model and also hosted The Tyra Banks Show.

She started her career quiet young, as a contestant on nickelodeon game show Finders Keepers. Banks has been married to college boyfriend Max Handelman when she converted to Judaism upon marriage. Banks has been well known for her roles in many of the TV series in the United States like Seabiscuit, Heights , Spiderman, wet hot American summer and through movies like The 40 year old virgin. Banks also has some roles in upcoming movies, where she plays the opposite role of Jessica alba. The last time that we have seen Banks was in 2007 where she is featured in the comedy Fred Claus along side Vince Vaughn.
