Selena Gomez Covers ELLE…Twice

Selena Gomez ELLE Cover

Selena Gomez‘s ELLE cover leaked the other day, featuring the singer/actress facing forward in a Balmain tunic against a yellow backdrop. Turns out there are two covers, with the second finding Sel set against a blue background, wearing a black dress with gold ornamentation, looking to the side, with her hands on her hips. Swoon!
The ‘Love You Like a Love Song’ singer is also wearing a strapless red dress and heels while kneeling on the sand in the internal shots, and lying on her back in an reddish-orange strapless bra and blue striped pants, looking half-patriotic, half-Wonder Woman. The shot where they show her assets? Whoa!! Sel looks amazing. She’s capturing the essence and the vibe of summer, all the while causing hearts, like that of her longtime BF Justin Bieber, to skip a beat.
The mag refers to the singer as the new “It” girl, as status that she’s earned and will no doubt be elevated by the much-buzzed about ‘Spring Breakers’ film, where she sheds her squeaky clean image.
The singer, who has said she will focus on movies for the foreseeable future, as opposed to music, spoke about her life as a Disney star, saying, “Disney is a machine, so people automatically assume that you can’t work for the channel unless you act and sing and dance and sign up for all that. That’s absolutely not true. I always did everything the way I wanted to do it.”
The star continued, “I get offered the teenybopper movies, and I’ve done that. I haven’t done a mega-hundred-billion-dollar ‘Transformers’ movie, but that’s not what I want to do either.” Selena sounds like a woman who knows what she wants in her career! No wonder The Biebs is crazy about her.
In the video from the shoot, she espouses her love for late singer Selena, after whom she was named, and Britney Spears.
She also shared what it was like to film ‘Spring Breakers,’ which features a pack of co-eds determined to get to the party, no matter what rules they break in the process. About the film’s authenticity, she said, “We were in real situations, in real hotels, with real Spring Breakers.”
