2012 Golden Globes Movie Winners List

Ricky Gervais
The 69th Golden Globes ceremony took place last night, and here are the films that took home the gongs...

Never one to fall in line with critical opinion (reviewers’ darlings We Need to Talk About Kevin, Drive, Shame or Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy didn’t get a look-in at Best Picture this year) last night saw the Golden Globes dish out their statues.

Alexander Payne’s The Descendants took Best Drama, with Meryl Streep bagging the inevitable Best Actress in a Drama for The Iron Lady and George Clooney picking up Best Actor in a Drama for, you guessed it, The Descendants. Man of the year Ryan Gosling however failed to bag the Supporting Actor prize for Clooney-directed The Ides of March.

Best Comedy or Musical went, completely deservedly, to The Artist, with Jean Dujardin receiving the Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical and Ludovic Bource winning for Best Original Score to boot. Michelle Williams went home with Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for My Week With Marilyn. Supporting actor and actress nods went to Octavia Spencer for The Help and Christopher Plummer for Beginners.

Hugo garnered Martin Scorsese the Best Director prize, with The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn swiping Best Animation from Arthur Christmas and Rango.
The full list of movie winners is below for your perusal. So what do you think? Who got robbed? Who got their just desserts?
