It's the hotpants brigade! Emma Watson, Kate Moss and Pixie Geldof battle it out to be style queen of Glastonbury in tiny shorts

Something strange has happened to Glastonbury this year. The rain and mud has been replaced by glorious sunshine, and the crusty attire has made way for a casual catwalk fashion parade.
, Kate Moss and Pixie Geldof all battled it out to be the style queen of the 2010 festival yesterday.
The trio all arrived at the event in Somerset wearing similar outfits of tiny hotpants and boots.

While Watson opted for a khaki-print Louis Vuitton corset, denim shorts and spiked wellies, Moss, 36, went for denim hotpants, fishnet tights, a black vest top and a wax jacket - the most-desired festival fashion item du jour.

Meanwhile, Geldof, 19, decided to go for an all-black outfit in black shorts, a black T-shirt and lace jacket, complete with black socks and boots.
Watson and Moss both arrived at the festival with their respective boyfriends, model George Craig and musician Jamie Hince, looking happy and relaxed.

Model and musician Craig, 19, was first spotted with the actress when they saw the London production of War Horse earlier this month.
Writing on his Twitter at the time, he said: 'Heading to London this afternoon, going to the theatre tonight with a wonderful lady.'
Clearly enjoying the atmosphere at Pilton farm, Emma sat backstage and allowed a friend to apply a fake tattoo.
The transfer said 'mother lover' with a picture of two birds around it.

UK rockers Muse headline the main stage tonight. Among the other Saturday highlights are US pop outfit Scissor Sisters - who will be joined by Kylie Minogue - Colombian singer Shakira, and US rock legend Jackson Browne.
Last night saw Gorillaz take top billing with an audio-visual spectacular.
Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood also made a surprise appearance to celebrate the festival's 40th anniversary.

Atmospheric: Gorillaz, filling in for the out-of-action U2, had some added members last night, including The Clash's Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, seen either side of Damon Albarn

Hit and miss: Try as Albarn might, crowd reaction after the Gorillaz set was mixed, with most saying the band left its hits too late in the set - and Glastonbury fans love to sing along
'Virtual band' Gorillaz, led by Damon Albarn, were replacing Irish rockers U2, who were forced to pull out after lead singer Bono injured his back.
Albarn was joined on stage by The Clash's Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, as well as Snoop Dogg, Madchester pioneer Shaun Ryder and The Fall's famously grumpy frontman Mark E Smith.

Guitar heroes: A surprisingly youthful Mick Jones takes the stage with the Gorillaz last night, while Radiohead's Thom Yorke joined Johnny Greenwood for their first performance at Glastonbury for seven years
It was the Blur frontman's second Glastonbury headline slot in as many years after reforming Blur for a triumphant gig at last year's festival.
An energetic Albarn ran through all their hits, including Feel Good Inc and Clint Eastwood, as the cartoon characters of the virtual band came to life on a huge screen towering above the actual musicians on stage.

Once over the set divided opinion. Dev Solomon, 29, from London said: 'My girlfriend loved it and musically it was superb.
'But it was clunky. It did not feel very warm or like the band or the special guests were having fun. They left the hits too late and people did start getting bored.

'When they played them though it was great but festival crowds want to singalong all the time.'
Festival founder Michael Eavis introduced Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, saying their appearance was 'the biggest surprise of the weekend'.
