'It's absurd!' Emma Watson demolishes rumours she's trying to steal Robert Pattinson from Kristen Stewart

  • Actress tired of whispers as she stars alongside fellow Brit in new movie

They smoldered alongside each other in the Harry Potter films.
But any suggestion of a romance between Emma Watson and Robert Pattinson is utter nonsense, she has claimed.
The actress has been forced to deny rumours she is trying to steal him away from his girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.
The idea of a love triangle between all three is ‘absurd and totally fabricated’, a spokeswoman for the star said.
Watson and Pattinson are to appear side by side in the forthcoming remake of the 2004 film Dark Arc, which sparked rumours that Stewart, 20, was jealous.

She was said to consider Watson ‘a threat’ and was personally insulted by her comments that unlike the Harry Potter series, Twilight was all about selling sex.
‘She hates being thought of as a sex symbol or being valued for that over her talent, so Emma got her right where it hurts,’ a source told one magazine.
Internet chat had it that Stewart was anxious that Watson, 20, and Pattinson, 24,  would have more in common with each other because they are both British.
And such is the devotion of Twi-hards that any ounce of gossip was picked up and passed on with having any substance attached.

A spokeswoman for Watson said any suggestion of a love triangle was ‘a complete case of mischief making’. ‘There is no feud, nor any hint of one,’ she added.
Watson herself weighed in when she posted on her Twitter page a message which read: ‘Just wanted to say don't believe everything you read.
‘Not mentioning any names... but why spoil a good story with a few facts, hey?!’

Watson, who is currently studying literature at Brown University in the U.S., starred alongside Pattinson in 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire where she played Hermione Granger and he was Cedric Diggory.
Whilst there was no on-screen romance between them at the time, both have since matured and developed a loyal and admiring following.

Pattinson met Stewart on the set of 2008’s Twilight, in which she was Bella, a high school student who falls in love with vampire Edward, whom he played.
Their relationship is an open secret but neither will talk about it and they are fiercely protective of their privacy.
Meanwhile, Emma has revealed she feels pressured to be successful after Harry Potter.
As Emma graduates from the wizarding franchise she hopes she has learned enough from making the films to be able to go on to other roles.
She told Total Film magazine: 'I've been doing this 10 years now and I have worked with some of the best actors in the world, so hopefully I'll take something with me - I've learnt a hell of a lot.'
She says she will find it hard moving on to play other characters because she feels such a close attachment to her Potter character Hermione Granger.
Watson said: 'I love Hermione with all my heart, I don't think I will ever play a character I identify with so much.
'She's wonderful, smart, brave, determined and loyal - she's just it.'
The actress goes on to say that people will be 'stunned' by what the final two installments of Harry Potter have in store.
