Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson or Evan Rachel Wood may star in Les Miserables

Four actresses of varying likelihood are reported to be in the running for Les Miserables, place your bets now...
The casting for Tom Hooper’s upcoming Les Miserables film adaptation is gearing up, and the line-up only gets more star-studded as we go along. Today, rumours of who will be playing Eponine have surfaced, with singer Taylor Swift, Glee star Lea Michele, actress Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood all in the running.
The character starts out as a spoiled child before her family descends into poverty. She then falls in love with Marius (to be played by Eddie Redmayne), who is in turn in love with Cosette. Eponine is most famous for her rendition of ‘On My Own’ so the actress has to have some serious pipes.
Johansson is the biggest star on the list, but Michele has the best voice. Producers are said to be ‘intrigued’ by Wood’s indie cred, and Swift has a lot of popularity with an audience who
may not otherwise be interested.
This may all be unfounded, as nothing has been confirmed as of yet. If one of these ladies does get the role, she’ll be joining Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Redmayne on this
